Checklist

What to send with your request

Planning a wall wrap, a mural or office wall graphics? Run through this list before you submit. Anything you can't answer yet, we sort out at the on-site measure.

Phone photos are fine. Stand back far enough to get the whole wall in one frame, floor to ceiling. Then take a close-up of the surface from an angle, so texture and paint sheen show. Keep outlets, switches, vents, TVs and trim in the shot.

Here's what helps most:

  • Photos of the whole wall, plus close-ups of the surface.
  • Rough width and height of each wall.
  • Door and window openings, and anything mounted on the wall.
  • The space type: office, lobby, church, school, gym, restaurant, retail or warehouse.
  • Artwork or logo files (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF), or a few lines about your idea.
  • Your timing: an opening date, an event or a move-in.
  • Access needs: after-hours installs, security check-in, tall ceilings or lifts.
  • Whether you own or lease the space. Removable film suits leased spaces and events.

What to send

The more we see, the faster your quote. Rough is fine; we measure exactly on-site.

  1. Step 1

    Wall photos

One straight-on photo of each wall, one wide shot of the room, and a close-up of the surface so we can see texture and paint sheen.

    Phone photos are fine.

  2. Step 2

    Measurements, if you have them

Width and height of each wall, plus doors and windows. Not sure? Skip it; we measure at the visit.

Try our size estimator first if you like.

  3. Step 3

    Artwork or logo

A vector logo (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF), brand colors and any photos you'd like to use. No artwork? Our designers can build it, quoted separately.

    Design starts after a deposit.

  4. Step 4

    Timeline

Opening dates, events, and whether you need an after-hours install.

Single walls usually install in one day.

  5. Step 5

    Surface type

Painted drywall, brick, block, concrete, glass, wood or metal. If the paint is new, tell us when it went on.

Fresh paint has to cure before film goes on.

Process

What happens at the on-site measure

A short visit that answers the questions a photo can't.

  1. Step 01

    We measure every wall

Dimensions, outlets, switches, vents, trim and corners.

    SpecExact sizes for panel layout.

  2. Step 02

    We check the surface

Paint sheen, age and texture: the things that decide which film will hold.

Spec3M and Avery both say surface prep decides adhesion.

  3. Step 03

    We talk film and finish

Removable or permanent, smooth or textured, matte or dry-erase, and what your building's fire rating needs.

SpecSeattle's code sets the class by occupancy.

  4. Step 04

    We look at access

Ceiling height, lifts, stairwells and the best time to install, including after hours.

SpecExterior walls go up from lifts.

  5. Step 05

    You get a quote

A written quote follows. Once design starts, you'll see a proof on a photo of your actual wall.

    SpecDesign is quoted separately.

On-site measure

What an on-site measure checks

Photos get you a ballpark. The visit gets the facts that decide the film, the prep and the price. It's free, and it catches surface problems before anything prints.

Want to read up first? Our wall surfaces guide explains what wall film sticks to, and our wall wrap cost guide shows how size, surface and access move the price.

At the visit we check five things:

  • Surface: drywall, block, brick, concrete, glass, wood or metal. Each one calls for different film or prep.
  • Paint: sheen, age and brand, if you know it. Avery says the final coat needs at least 7 days to cure, and 3M says film is less likely to stick to low-VOC paint.
  • Texture: smooth walls take standard wall film. Block, brick and textured paint need a conformable textured-wall film applied with heat.
  • Openings: doors, windows, outlets, switches, vents and trim, so panels and seams land where they show least.
  • Access: ceiling height, lifts, stairwells and the best time to install, including after hours.

Windows and film

Requesting window film or architectural film

Use the same form for glass. Ardor installs window graphics, frosted and decorative film and commercial window tinting (solar, reflective and frosted) on-site with 3M, Avery Dennison and STEK films. Window estimates are free too.

For windows, send a photo of each pane or glass door, rough sizes, which way the glass faces and what you want the film to do: privacy, branding, glare and heat, or safety. Tell us if the glass is tinted or dual-pane, if you know. Our window films guide explains why the glass type matters.

Architectural film is a heavier, embossed film that gives doors, columns, desks and cabinets a wood, stone or metal look. Weighing a refresh against a replacement? Ask us about architectural film refacing and include photos of the pieces. Our architectural films guide explains how it works.

After you say yes

  1. Step 1

    Deposit and proof

A 50% deposit schedules printing and install. Design work starts once a deposit is in.

    Ardor policy.

  2. Step 2

    Print and cut

We print in our Snohomish shop and cut every panel before it leaves.

    Wall film on 54-inch rolls.

  3. Step 3

    Install

Ardor's own crew installs. A single wall usually takes one day.

    After-hours installs available.

  4. Step 4

    Backed by a warranty

A 1-year installation warranty and a 24-hour response if anything lifts, bubbles or comes loose because of the install.

Film and ink defects go through the manufacturers' warranties.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the on-site estimate free?

Yes. Quotes and on-site estimates are free.

Can I just send photos instead?

Yes. Send your wall measurements or a few photos and we'll send pricing, or book a visit for an exact measure.

Do I need artwork ready?

No. Our in-house designers can build the art from your logo, photos or idea. Design is quoted separately.

My paint is new. Can you still measure?

Yes. We can measure and design while the paint cures. Avery says the final coat needs at least 7 days, and some paints take longer; we schedule the install once it's ready.

Can you install after hours?

Yes. After-hours installs keep your office, shop or church open during the day.

Do you need a deposit?

Yes. Print projects need a 50% deposit before printing or scheduling.

What areas do you serve?

Snohomish and King counties, from Arlington and Marysville to Seattle, Bellevue, Renton and Kent.

What if we lease our space?

Tell us in your request. Removable film suits leased spaces and events. Permanent film is made to stay, and removing it damages paint.

How can I pay?

Ardor accepts Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Affirm, PayPal, Venmo, cash, check, ACH and bank transfer.
